God's Passion

There’s a song, it’s yearning, burning, settting fire to the inner recesses of my soul,
Yet words escape me, they evade me, fading out into the outer reaches of my consciousness every time I try to elucidate, to enumerate, to delineate just a line, a measure, which will reveal a drop of the sea which within me lies…
The sea of love for Jesus, the unending break of the waves of affection which arise from the meditation upon the Rock Who is Christ.
Ever fueled by the wind of the Holy Spirit, for it is neither born nor borne out of or by my own effort. Rather it is propelled by the passion, the intense flaming desire of God for intimacy with me, and yet, not only with me but with my fellow man(and woman)kind. Herein lies the conundrum, compelled and impelled to dwell ever closer to Him, yet impelled and compelled farther from the regions of safety to the places where darkness holds humanity in its filthy grip.
This passion, both God’s and mine, is a sea, an ocean, of which my contribution is but a trickle, and yet…He leads, He steers, and molds, that all men and women might know…
The passion of His heart rises, crescendos, breaks, weeps…for those, who, aeons passing from the day salvation came in and through the SON, yet have not had the possibility of gazing upon the beauty of the Lord. The Holy Spirit seeks, searches, moving in all the children of God, stirring, seeking to awaken the Body of Christ to the cries of tumultuous multitudes, tormented in sin and suffering, starvation and slavery, stricken the mortal blow, and yet, in the throes…
The decisive blow has been dealt, yet the victory is awaiting the return of the Servant King. Meanwhile, we, rescued and ransomed from the hidden darkened kingdom of death, enraptured and bathed in the Light, cleansed and purified yet weak, the only strength is that which the Spirit brings and gives. We…the weak yet strong, the once-filthy yet now resplendent, called to raise our voices, in praise of Him who through His death ransomed and rescued, washed and renewed, and made alive all who believe in Him. We…called, set apart, to declare, proclaim, to manifest, and to model the truth to all. In love…predestined and called, that…in love, we may go…
In word, in deed, in motive, to make known the majesty, the incomparable beauty, the wonder, the resplendent glorious light that shines in the face of Christ. Awestruck that we, weak, and small, should be called to participate in and of the Kingdom, to partake of Christ, submerged in Him...overflowed by the Spirit, wrapped in the embrace of the Father...here I sing.
